Let's dive Molokini Crater!

Molokini Crater

Molokini Crater

Molokini Crater is a tiny volcano islet that is located a few miles off of Maui's leeward coast. In 1977, Molokini was declared a Marine Preserve, which makes it a great habitat for the abundant aquatic life and the most beautiful coral in Hawaii. Unlike shore dives in the surrounding islands, visibility at Molokini typically exceeds 150 feet, leaving you delighted and amazed.

On your dive, you will encounter thousands of reef fish, eels, and if you are lucky, White Tip Reef or Gray sharks, Manta Rays or a Whale Shark!

Molokini Dives...

Mid Reef - Protected by the outer rims of the crater, Mid Reef is home to a diverse collection of coral, schools of brightly-colored fish, octopus, crabs, shrimp, Moray eels, trumpet fish and white sand scattered with rare Garden Eels.

Back Wall - Molokini's back wall one of the top drift dives in the United States. Experience steep rock ledges that go beyond 300 feet, large Ulua and deep-dwelling fish not seen anywhere else in the world! For advanced divers with good buoyancy control, this is truly an amazing dive!

Reef's End - Experience shark ledges, larger fish and amazing drop-offs.

Other Molokini dive locations include: Tako flats, Orange Grove, Garbanzo's Lair, The Cove and Edge of the world.
